Is it bad to flash your phone at a wedding:

It is not necessarily bad to flash your phone at a wedding, but it could be disrespectful to the other people in attendance.

The point of a wedding is to have everyone’s attention on you and your partner. Therefore, it is important that the guests don’t use their phones when they are at the ceremony. It can be seen as disrespectful; especially if you are one of the bridesmaids or groomsmen because you will often be seated in front of the guests.

Another reason why it might be seen as bad etiquette is if you happen to get married outside and there are pictures being taken by someone else (ie: a professional photographer). This person might not appreciate you using your phone while they are trying to get shots of the happy couple there.
